Did you ever feel that it was just time for a project to be "done"?
This is my Beaumonde scarf (Rav link)...or at least, maybe it is. It might be my Beaumonde cowl/neckwarmer. I ADORE this yarn, and I LOVE the way the pattern looks, I'm just a little tired of knitting it. It's been in progress for 2 years...I used to knit it on MARTA before I got my Kindle. It's not even a difficult knit. Maybe I just want to start something new.
What do you think? Hang in there for the full scarf, knowing I'm only about 30% done, or end it with some stunning buttons...like, about now?

wow it is so lovely xx
I think it is beautiful, but if this is as far as you've gotten in two years, I think it just might be beautiful as a cowl rather than a scarf.
It could always be one of those ongoing projects that will get done one day & be fantastic! Of course it could also make a great cowl. I'm not much help, am I : )
If you stick it out a bit longer you can have an infinity with amazing buttons. That's another option.
It looks beautiful, i have great admiration for knitters who can do such intricate patterns. I'm voting for whatever you choose, both would be nice - although i am a believer in 'if you are not enjoying it -stop!'
I think this would look really great as a cowl! It would be easy to accomplish too; just seam the ends together or add button loops to the bind-off edge.
Knitting is supposed to be fun. If you're sick of it, it's not fun, so add on the final rib with some button holes and make a neckwarmer/cowl.
End it now. It's enough for a cowl and will do quite nicely as one. Soooooooo many projects, soooooooo little time - just move on. :)
END IT, END IT, END IT!!!! :D
Wanna know what I really think? HAHAHAHAHA
Well, it is absolutely beautiful and would make a glorious scarf! But I also understand no longer being in love with a project and just wanting to be done with it, especially when you can still turn it into something useful. (That wasn't helpful, was it?)
Oooh finish the scarf! But I know what you mean sometimes its just a project's time to be "done"!
I'm with Dani....finish the scarf! I'm working my way through a rib stitch scarf which has been on the needles for a couple of years.I'm working on mine for an hour a day and working on other projects in between. We could egg each other on!
