Theme-a-licious Jumanji June Wrap-Up

Sorry this post is late! There's been a lot of travel logistics at the Lott Loft; Michael's about to go on his second business trip in three weeks and we've just booked our tickets to London for the end of the Summer!

My stitching this month pretty much disappeared in the black hole that was Camp Loopy and my Cinco de Cuatro. The good news is that I'm done, and this totally counts for Jumanji June, since it is made entirely of sheep, and sheep are totally animals!
I'll post more pictures later. =)

As for my ornament...well...that was a complete failure to launch. I didn't even start!

I was able to do a little work on Dancer...
He'll lead us nicely into next month's theme...

Jubilee July
It's time to celebrate! What are you celebrating this year? Stitch on your holiday-related projects, OR find some WIPs you know you'll never finish and set them free.

Ornament Theme
your choice

This month's theme is kind of two-pronged...stitch whatever you're celebrating, or set some projects free. I know I have a few things in my stash that I am CERTAIN I'll never get around to stitching. I need to weed them out to give the rest of the stash more breathing room! I want to keep working on Dancer, although I'm going to start out July by working on Long May She Wave, an American flag piece that should have been finished long ago! As for my ornament, I believe it's time for a squirrel. =)

So how did your Jumanji June go? Was your stash stampeding or was it an orderly two-by-two procession? Please add your link below (to your wrap up post), and visit some other Themers if you can (everyone loves comments and encouragement!) I'm considering going to just the once-a-month wrap-up post instead of the check-in then wrap-up. What do you think? I'll try to give you some warning one way or the other. =)

Theme-a-licious Jumanji June Check-in

Can somebody please tell me how it can be the 15th of June already?

I started out with the perfect Monochrome May into Jumanji June project:

Sadly, the rest of my time has been spent with sheep. Well, that's not a bad thing! I have been knitting a lot, but sadly I have not managed any pictures during daylight hours! I really need to get started on my ornament and put some work in on Dancer!

So how is your Jumanji June going? Do you have a full zoo going or just a small herd? Please add your link below (to your check in post), and visit some other Themers if you can (everyone loves comments and encouragement!) Our next post will be on the 30th of June, when we'll wrap up Jumanji June and talk about Jubilee July!

Catchup

Sorry I disappeared there for a little while! Work has been really crazy; my boss (and coding cohort) has been on vacation for the past two weeks, and so I've been trying to hold down a job and a half, at least. Last Thursday I worked until 11pm! Yikes. She gets back today, just as we are taking off for a long weekend (for our 16th anniversary!) on Amelia Island. Yeah...that would be pretty much in the path of Andrea, but we still intend to have a good time. =)

Memorial Day weekend was nice; we got to see Oblivion (great movie with some plot holes, but great plot twist and SFX), did some chores and finally got the plants out on the deck.

We're already been using some of the herbs. =)

I decided to drink from the cup of crazy and join Camp Loopy this year. I've wanted to join for the past couple years, so I finally did it. My first project will be a "basic" (and I use that term loosely) black scarf.

I did my gauge swatch and decided to go down a needle size.

This project will be christened "Cinco de Cuatro" in honor of the return of Arrested Development. =) It was going to be called "Raven Dare", since I had just finished reading The Swan House (a good read) and since I'm supposed to get it done in a month, but Arrested Development won out (plus the pattern is "Mexican Wedding").

Lots more catchup to come after we're back...hopefully I'll get some time to visit your Theme-a-licious checkins while we're gone! (Bad SAL runner!)
