The Geekend That Was, 6/10

Did you miss me?

Most of you probably had no idea I was gone, but I just got back from two weeks in Europe! This trip was in celebration of our 15th anniversary (on June 7th). Our itinerary included Prague, Vienna and Venice. I took over 1800 pictures!!

Yeah. Haven't gone through all those yet. Don't worry; you'll only have to suffer through a fraction of them. =)

So! This weekend (along with today) can pretty much be summed up by two words: Jet Lag.

And on a completely unrelated note, who out there watches So You Think You Can Dance? We always have fun watching any show that films in Atlanta; Michael is able to identify which hotel the crew is staying in based on any skyline shots they do. This amuses me greatly. Anyway, if you watch the show, do you remember these guys?

Dragon House guys! Only, this is not being filmed behind their house...

IT'S FILMED BEHIND MINE!!!

I wish I had a picture of the amusing leaping up from the couch that occurred with Michael yelling, "THAT'S OUR HOUSE!!"

I wonder if I was home....

Jet Lag. That is all.

Congratulations on your anniversary! I can't wait to hear all about your trip. Was there stash acquisition?
Very cool about the show. Rich is known to shout out "we were there!" or other such things when he recognizes a place on TV.
Hope your are recovering from the jet lag :)

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend an anniversary!

I'm a big SYTYCD fan. I don't actually remember those guys... all those dancers become a blur after a while. But how cool to have them filming so close. BTW, did you audition?

Hmmm...degrees from Kevin Bacon. Dragon House to Nigel Lythgow (producer), Nigel Lythgow to Ryan Seacrest (also produces AI), Ryan Seacrest to ... surely he has interviewed someone in a movie with Kevin Bacon??!? I was never very good at this game. =)

I think I would flip out, too, if I saw my house on national television, especially when I didn't know anything about the filming. How weird! Congratulations on your anniversary!! Can't wait to hear all about the trip.

Happy Anniversary!!!

WHAT???????? That's crazy your house just randomly ended up on tv. I love that show and look forward to it every summer. It's one of the only reality shows I watch, aside from Project Runway. (Had typed runAway at first. Haha! What a crazy show THAT would be, huh?) I love that it's so positive i.e the judges are honestly trying to help with their advice and it's not just a soul-crushing snarkfest.
