Enough teasing!
Helena is finally finished!
Helena (my Ravelry page) knit in KnitPicks Swish DK in Amethyst Heather |
I still couldn't get the color just right. It's a little richer and dustier than this. But I went for well-lighted pictures rather than perfect color.
Because...
Just look at that lace! It was a very easy lace pattern, and very easy to memorize, but I will probably never get over how much blocking does for things. Here's what it looked like before blocking, for reference:
This color is probably more accurate, as well.
The picot hem on the cuffs!
Sleeve detail...
I'm beyond pleased. I'm actually feeling a little smug. ;) Maybe I should knit a "real" sweater for myself? (Tubey doesn't count!)

So perfect! I see one happy little girl in the future! I love Swish. I have some fingerless gloves I made in the same yarn and they wash and dry like a dream!
It's gorgeous, Heather! I love the picot hemline - I've always wanted to try that!
You should totally knit yourself something!
Excellent sweater! And yes, you should make something for yourself.
What a beautiful sweater!
Beautiful - it has been a long time since I have knitted, you are making me think I need to pick up two needles at the same time!
Beautiful. I am still amazed every time I block something.
So gorgeous :) I love all of the variations of colour in the pictures! Love the ties on the front too :)
That is so sweet and beautifully done.
Beautiful finish! Love the details!
