  • Post about this contest on your blog. Feel free to use/link to the picture of the goodies. Please put a link to your post in a comment...I thank you. =)
I was going to make this a shorter contest, but I'll be at The Attic in Mesa, AZ for a Jackie du Plessis class (Chocolat...you may have seen me mention it once or twice...or fifteen times) and I'll be doing well to get the package off on the 12th! I want to get it to you in time to use the Fall threads while it's still Fall! =) Hopefully you'll have time to stitch up something nice for Thanksgiving. Well...unless you've already celebrated Thanksgiving. (I'm looking at you, Canada =) In that case, you'll have a spiffing start on next year.

Giveaway is now closed! I'll be announcing the winner soon!

yay cross stitch goodies :)

since I shared my favorite fall dish on the other giveaway, I will share my second favorite fall dish - pot roast!

Real easy:
In crock pot, combine one pot roast, one can of cream of mushroom soup, one packet of lipton onion soup mix, and some carrots and potatoes. Cook on High for 4-5 hours :)

Pretty! Our favorite Thanksgiving recipe is based on this one by Claire Robinson. She's the 5 Ingredient Fix lady, so we BYOC (be your own chef) and swap the water for chicken broth/stock (sometimes it takes a little extra to make it moist enough) and add in some poultry seasoning. We know prefer this recipe over even my grandmother's old recipe. Not healthy, but so yum!

*Now, not know. ::sigh::

That stumpwork stuff looks interesting, as do the rest of the goodies.

Favourite fall dish would be pumpkin pie (if that counts). Yum.

Grr. Now I want pie. And at 10 in the night the stores are all closed. sigh

One of my favorite and simple things to make in fall is a pot roast in the crock pot. Get 2-4 lb pot roast meat. Cover with cream of mushroom soup (no H20) 3-4 cans. Cook on low 12 hours. Take meat out to plate and shred, return to crock pot and cook another hour or so. Make mashed potatoes and serve meat/gravy over potatoes or as Sam would say Po-Tay-TOES.

Lovely giveaway! Please add my name into consideration. :)

I'm adding a link to my post here for you:

I have two favorite dishes for autumn. First is my apple and sausage stuffing, which for some reason I only make for Thanksgiving. It's complete comfort food and really could be eaten as a meal. I have the recipe on my blog here.

The other is butternut squash bisque, which I don't make, but is served seasonally at a deli near my work - and OMG, it is guaranteed to take any tension out of you with every sip. Absolutely heavenly.

I'd like to be entered, please! I'm a follower. :)

Hard to think of a fall dish now, as I've lived in Texas for a while and there really isn't fall here. :p I love having baked goods around this time of year, but I'm terrible at baking (too much measuring!) so easy stuff like this is what I go for.

Man, now I want to make one...
