Finally, a WIP with some yarn! Yes, Chocolat is done (still haven't managed to iron it, though, so no picture), so I have cast on for Helena for a friend's (very, very) little girl.
Craptastic picture. There's just no light here either in the morning or at night. Impossible to get good pictures! So far I'm loving the Knit Picks Swish DK yarn. I was worried it wouldn't be soft, since it's a superwash (but what the heck do I know, anyway??) It's nummy and squishy, though. Very nice to work with. Now if I can just get past all the booooooring stockinette....
I've also done a little on Random Thoughts (I was kind of giddy to work on it after so much Chocolat), but, hmmm...somehow it didn't even occur to me to take a picture! Maybe next week. Although I do need to start on the prework for my next class, and considering that it's completely, 100% basting, there probably won't be any pictures of that, either!!
Hey, I've got a Giveaway going on right now, so please visit that post to enter!

Hi Heather! Thanks for commenting on my WIP post :)
The purple yarn in mine is 4ply from Old Maiden Aunt (link in post). She's a hand-dyer based in Scotland, so no 2 lots are exactly alike, and I think this skein may actually have been reduced for 'mistakes' - I think the light patches make it look even better! The grey is King Cole Riot that I think is more generally available.
From your picture, it looks like you like purple as much as I do! I know what you mean about worrying about superwash wool - it can be a bit hit and miss. Glad you've found something that works for you :) Looks lovely!
That is SUCH a cute sweater! And the color is lovely. Also, strangely familiar. ;)
I love those stitch markers. Are they bees?
Aw, that pattern is gorgeous and I love the colour of the yarn, so rich and pretty :)
Omgosh you're knitting it on round needles I haven't ever tried them.
Clever you
Chris x
The picture looks fine to me! I love the color. It'll be fun to watch as you progress!
Your stitch markers are very cute :D Hooray for progress!
Oh that color is beautiful! I have seen so many purple yarns today. I'm going to have to put purple yarn on my wish list.
Beautiful color yarn, and such cute little stitch markers! :D
I'm sure that very, very little girl will love it.
Love Helena, that's going to be a good one!! I'm getting sock of not having good light to photograph ... here goes a few months of that now!
That color is awesome! I woke Rocky up this morning to my squeal of "Look! Heather started the sweater!" I can't wait to see it on the little munchkin.
