Starting Line

Click now for JiffNotes

I have not pulled out Autumn Queen in a very long time! So long, in fact, that I had fooled myself into thinking I was "almost" done with the bottom of her.
Yeah, not so much. I believe I remembered it that way because I had finally stitched the width of her. She only gets narrower from here on out! There is a whole lot of Wisper stitching in my future (can you see the start of it over there on the left?). I think I'm going to alternate stitching strands of Wisper with strands of color--any color! Although, I have to find that one color I tried to stitch with last night and couldn't find because I have obviously stolen on behalf of another project. Do you do that? Pillage one project for just a little bit of something for another...and then completely forget you did it??

Let's hope the picture at the end of the month shows a discernible difference....

I do rob Peter's floss to pay Paul's project. I try to remember to leave a post-it with the original. Key word: try.

Yes I was looking to put a WIP for last years apocalypse and was checking the colors I had underlined and didn't have some because I took it out of that bag to stitch something else. So I finally stopped and just bought the dmc again when I can't find it in the bags.

That looks lovely. I started writing on a sticky label on the lid of my project floss box when I borrowed the colour, the problem was was when it got moved on to a third project!

Must be a long time since you pulled that one out since I don't recall you ever talking about it

If I'm going to pillage because I only need a little bit, then I'll just steal a length. That way, the skein is still where it belongs, but I have the little bit that I need. I can always come back for another length if need be. And for the record, I have stitched not a single thing so far this month! Will try to put a few strands in something so I can post a mid-month theme update. ::sigh::
