WIP Wednesday

Click now for JiffNotes

This is kind of more a Finished Object than a WIP, but it's still blocking, sooo...

This is Rose Red by Ysolda Teague (Rav link). I think it's going to be a bit big, so I may have to add some elastic to the edge. I'm not sure what else to do...any suggestions? I'm totally in love with this yarn, and this pattern, by the way. It was an enormous pleasure to knit!

I succumbed to the free yarn being thrown around by Knit Picks, so then I had to find a one-skein cowl pattern.

Here's the start of my Owl Cowl (Rav link). I looked through a lot of patterns, but this one was the only one that was guaranteed to work well with the yarn. Plus I just like saying, "Owl Cowl". =)

OMGosh - the hat is wonderful - I knew you'd love it ! Unless it draws up in blocking - the elastic in the band is probably your only option unless you tried sewing up a few ribs into a tuck type affair. You could wear the tuck in the back and no one would probably notice. Hope we get some cooler weather so you can enjoy it - 78degrees does not bode well for enjoying hand knits here in NE FL. Cheers ! mel

That is just beautiful!
Nice start on the owl cowl too. If I were to attempt that no doubt it would turn out to be a fowl cowl
