Theme-a-licious Monochrome May Wrap-Up

I thought I'd get through a few more projects this month, but I really enjoyed what I did work on. After all, they were all my favorite color! =)

First was Sapphire Star...

...followed by Celtic Knotwork Crosses...

And you already saw the latest picture of Toccata last week.

I probably would have gotten around to more projects if I hadn't been trying so hard to make the latest Cookie A socks work with this nice blue yarn I got at Stitches South. Unfortunately, they ended up like this after the THIRD CAST-ON:

Two great tastes that don't taste great together: these socks and this yarn. Not that socks would taste very good, anyway. I love both the pattern and the yarn, but they don't work with each other.

I did finish the other sock club socks, in a nearly-monochrome color:

Tulip Socks by Cookie A
knit in Felici from KnitPicks

As for my ornament, it did not get finished! =( I didn't even get a picture during the daylight hours today. I'll have to post one soon. It's going to be very pretty; I want to keep working on it until it's done.

Now it's time for...
Jumanji June
Is it a jungle out there in your stash? Give some love to the projects with animals or birds.

Ornament Theme
reindeer

This month I mainly want to work on Dancer (the second Mirabilia reindeer). And I've already fished a reindeer ornament out of the Giant Pile 'o Ornament Kits. I'm sure some other animals will romp their way into my hands. =)

So how did your Monochrome May go? Are you ready to see in Technicolor again? Please add your link below (to your wrap up post), and visit some other Themers if you can (everyone loves comments and encouragement!) Our next post will be on the 15th of June, when we'll check in for Jumanji June!

Hi Heather, Love the colour in the socks, they look so cosy. My post has a very tenious link to the theme this month, I'm afraid!

Love the tulip socks, the yarn is a great colour. Shame about the other pair.

Your other wips are looking lovely, great progress

Gorgeous socks!

Not every project works out. But those tulip socks are just wonderful so I wouldn't be too disappointed if I were you.

Sapphire Star is such a cool art deco-like piece!

Nice blue month. Love the socks!

You made great blue progress! I chose green, but did stitch with more colours than that... :)

For June, I might have to dig up a Christmas design, looks like it's the only wip with an animal...

Sapphire Star is lovely and the socks look good too. At least the blue ball of wool is soft and nice to look at...

I've just been to Kerry's blog. Poor Heather, we're like the naughty girls at the back of the class doing the experiments wrong...

Ugh. So sorry you had such a hard time with those socks. That's the pits. :(

Sapphire Star is gorgeous! So bright it's really glowing! Wonderful blue projects all month long :D I think I kind of failed this month, but decided to make a post anyway, lol!

Pretty projects! I was hoping to stitch on my M but I had Love Quilt Squares to do. Then when I did stitch her I got down to where I had started and the d@#$ thing was off! So it ended with less stitches than what I started with.

Sapphire star looks fantastic! I love everything you worked on this month. But feel sad for you re the blue cookie monster socks. Well, they look like the cookie monster in that photo, I know you'd rather they either looked like socks or a ball of yarn
