WIP Wednesday: Things That Are Round Edition

Click now for JiffNotes

What you see here is everything I'm either "actively" or "supposed to be" working on. Clockwise from the top, Silver Rose (my version of Red Rose, a beautiful hat), Wavy (aka The Scarf That Wouldn't Die, aka Wool-ease ROX, aka I Can Knit Anything for an Hour) and a Honey-Cowl-Moebius-Thing. I have cast this thing on about 6 times...I keep changing my mind. First I was just going to knit a plain Honey Cowl, then I thought I'd do it as a moebius, then I realized the Honey Cowl pattern isn't reversible, then I thought I'd just do a non-moebius regular Honey Cowl, then I thought, I CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE THIS PATTERN REVERSIBLE, then I thought I could not, then I thought OH YES I CAN, but it turns out my reversible pattern, while thick and warm, doesn't retain the characteristics I loved about the Honey Cowl pattern. So now I'm knitting a reversible pattern, as a moebius, that includes the Honey Cowl stitch pattern.

Wow. I'm pretty sure that only made sense to me. Well, stay tuned, it'll make much more sense once it's done!

  2. I really like how much crazyness went into the Honey cowl, it's the sort of thing that happens with me and my maths :) Loving all those knitting bits, have fun with them

  3. I'm intrigued to see how the honey-cowl-but-maybe-not-but-maybe cowl works out ;) The yarn looks pretty.

  8. Hope you are feeling better now Heather - I worked from home yesterday - same issue - just couldn't motivate into the office. I've been thinking about the honey cowl lately - like I don't have enough to do or enough on needles - love the Random Thoughts corner. Mel
